Scott Spark 930

A shorter travel trail bike able to jump into the odd cross country race, Scott’s Spark 930 is a clean, versatile ride that perfect for Texas trails.

First thing is the slick rear suspension. The Spark 930 offers 120mm rear/130mm front suspension, with Scott’s Twin Lock system, allowing you to remotely lock both shocks with one lever, or even run things half open.

Because Scott was able to move the rear suspension inside the downtube, you’re able to ride with two bottle cages on the frame. A small, but valuable, addition for anyone who rides year round.

The rear shock is easily accessed through a port in the bottom of the down tube for maintenance, while the seals are protected from dust & dirt. There are even handy markers on the frame to set proper sag without having to access the shock. It’s a good system, that seems to have been well thought out.

Throw in a dropper post, some burly Schwalbe tires, and a nice Shimano SLX/XT parts spec, and you’ve got a highly capable bike sporting modern mountain bike geometry.

If you’re in the market, swing by. We’re sitting on a few sizes of this all-rounder.

Giant Revolt Advanced 0

A gravel bike. Made of carbon fiber. With quality parts.

Sure… The Revolt checks those boxes, yet this is an item greater than the sum of its parts.

Giant has worked black magic on the Revolt. They’ve mixed technologies in unholy ways. Cast spells to shed weight, while providing a ride quality and price point that others can’t match. The devil lives in this bike. It’s hidden in the details you didn’t notice at first glance.

Fit

Long top tubes, shorter stock stems, and a flip chip to change wheelbase. The redesigned Revolt features a lower bottom bracket than previous iterations. It’s extremely stable, with a wheel base more than 4 centimeters (in the longest position) longer than a comparably sized TCR. That said, the Revolt is by no means a boat. Head tube angles were steepened to 71.5° (size medium), for a snappy feel.

FORM

A carbon fiber frame with large tires will always have great compliance, but to help provide more comfort, Giant lowered the seat stays on the Revolt while making them thinner to better absorb vibrations. It’s still a bike that can handle city limit sprints, but that extra bit of comfort will pay dividends on all day adventures. We dig the sloping top tube, and lower stays of this bike. They serve a purpose, and look great doing it.

Function

You can squeeze in massive 53mm tires in the long position (50mm in the short). There are water bottle/accessory mounts on the top and bottom of the down tube, the seat tube, and even the top tube. The fork has several racks mounts, and the frame boasts fender mounts.

Basically … it has all the mounts.

The Advanced 0 above features Shimano’s gravel specific GRX drivetrain and hookless carbon wheels, providing you with a bike that needs no upgrades for $4,400. A lot of money, but an incredible value when comparing the build to other brands.

If you’re in the market for one of the most versatile bikes in our stable, swing by. We’ve got this Medium complete in stock, as well as a medium frame set, with more sizes arriving later in the year.

Liv Pique Advanced Pro 29 2

For those not familiar, Liv is the women’s specific line of bikes that exists under the Giant Bicycles umbrella. In many ways, though, Liv has eclipsed its maker. The brand has a welcoming voice that nurtures riders of all levels, has an extremely loyal following, and makes incredible, pro-tour level bikes.

We can’t stop talking about the paint and build of this you-need-to-see-it-in-person Pique. If you’re a competitive cross-country athlete, this may be just what you’re looking for.

If you work for Giant, can we please get this paint on a TCR?

The Stats

Carbon frame. Carbon wheels. Carbon bar. 100mm of front and rear suspension, specially tuned for female riders. Shimano Deore drivetrain, included dropper and next-level paint.

This is a build that checks a lot of boxes. Our size medium is shockingly light, and race ready as-is. Perfect for Warda, Reveille, Reimers, Walnut, or the miles of secret single track in the Austin area.

Momentum PakYak E+

Seamless pedaling assistance, an astonishing capacity of 361 lbs., a dropper post for easy height adjustment & oodles of storage. We’re digging this Momentum PakYak E+.

It’s the little things, like a front rack attached to the frame, and not the front wheel, to keep the load stable in turns. Or the gargantuan storage compartment behind the seat tube, that will hold an extra battery.

With assistance up to 28mph, the PakYak E+ is plenty fast enough. Tired? Bump it up to max assist on the hills, or run in Eco mode to get in a workout on the way home.

Plenty of electric bikes sell the dream of replacing your daily driver, but we reckon this PakYak may actually deliver on that promise.

Howdy Ya'll
