2023 Update

Starting Jan 1, 2023, the City of Austin is doubling rebates on eligible E-bike purchases. Electric bikes that retail for $2,000 or more receive a $600 rebate from the city!

In a city like Austin, where growth seems to have outpaced infrastructure, E-bikes have proven themselves to be a viable transportation alternative. A quality E-bike helps to reduce air pollution, saves you money, and still provides quality cardiovascular exercise.

Luckily, Austin Energy has also gotten behind this, and is offering local customers rebates on electric bike purchases. There are a few caveats, so check out the official Austin Energy Electric Ride Rebate Page for all the details.

Key Points

The bike purchaser must be a current Austin Energy customer.
You must purchase a new bike from a certified dealer (like us), who is also an Austin Energy customer.
Rebate amount depends on bike purchase amount.
Rebate must me applied for within 60 days of purchase.
